Wardell Gillis Welcomes Meagan B. Ward (Student-at-Law)

Wardell Gillis is pleased to announce that Meagan B. Ward has joined our firm as an articling student. Meagan has been employed with Wardell Gillis since 2014 and has officially commenced her articles with us.
Meagan grew up on a farm south of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Prior to working at Wardell Gillis, Meagan studied Criminal Justice at the University of Regina and was employed at Walper-Bossence Law Office in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan under Brenda Walper-Bossence, Q.C. During her studies, Meagan also spent four months in Washington, D.C. working at a firm practicing criminal and civil law.
Meagan will be graduating from the University of Saskatchewan in June with a Juris Doctorate degree (with distinction). During her time at the University of Saskatchewan, College of Law, Meagan received various awards and scholarships including the Honourable David H. Wright Prize in Sentencing (2017). Meagan was a student editor of the Saskatchewan Law Review, a volunteer with Community Legal Assistance Services For Saskatoon Inner City Inc. (CLASSIC) and Pro Bono Students Canada, a member of the Speaker's Committee for the College of Law, Criminal Law Club, and participated as a member of the 2017 Gale Moot Team. Meagan is also a member of the Saskatchewan Trial Lawyers Association, the Saskatoon Criminal Defence Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Bar Association.
Meagan has a particular passion for criminal law and civil litigation but enjoys all areas of the law.
